Just finished “Eating Animals” by Johnathan Safean Foer. Above is a page from it detailing the complexities and beauties of a seahorse, one of the tens of thousands of other sea species that are decimated as bycatch by commercial fishers. For every 1 lb of tuna, salmon or shrimp 25lbs or more of other sea life was caught, killed and thrown back. We will have nothing if this continues. I’m not advocating anything yet, except for people to please read this book if this kind of thing interest you. Because then you will come to the chapters about factory farming 99% of where americans get their meat….
